Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Government has successfully wrapped up an investors’ roadshow for the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Bannu Link Road Project, which aims to connect the Indus Highway (N-55) with the Hakla-D.I. Khan Motorway (M-14).
Held in Islamabad, the roadshow was attended by leading construction companies, commercial banks, and private investment firms, said a press release issued here.
Government officials presented the project’s scope, financial structure, risk-sharing mechanism, and execution schedule, allowing participants to interact directly with the project team.
Secretary Planning and Development Department, Adeel Shah, said the project reflects the government’s resolve to enhance regional connectivity and accelerate economic development in the province.
He added that transparent policies, viability gap funding, and government support in land acquisition have made the project attractive for private investors.
Senior bankers and CEOs of top-tier contracting firms expressed confidence in the project, with several indicating their intention to take part in the upcoming bidding process.
Officials noted that the success of earlier PPP projects, such as the Swat Expressway phases, has strengthened investor confidence.
The Bannu link road 0roject is expected to reduce travel time, improve trade routes, and create new economic opportunities, setting a benchmark for future PPP initiatives in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
