LESCO collects over Rs 7.31m from 162 defaulters in 24 hours

LAHORE: Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has recovered more than Rs 7.31 million from 162 dead defaulters in all the five districts – Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Kasur and Okara – on the 206th day of its recovery campaign.

LESCO spokesman told media here Thursday that on the 206th day, SE (Superintending Engineer) Nisar Sarwar has recovered outstanding dues of Rs 0.68 million from 15 defaulters in Northern Circle; SE Umar Bilal recovered Rs 4.00 million from 64 defaulters in Eastern Circle; SE Shabbir recovered Rs 1.10 million from 31 defaulters in Central Circle; SE Zafarullah Saanghi collected Rs 0.07 million from 07 defaulters in South Circle; SE Muhammad Hussain recovered Rs 0.24 million from 11 defaulters in Nankana Circle; SE Najamul Hassan recovered Rs 0.45 million from 09 defaulters in Sheikhupura Circle; SE Jamshed Zaman collected Rs 0.29 million from 12 defaulters in Okara Circle and SE Ahmed Shahzad Chughtai recovered Rs 0.48 million from 13 defaulters in Kasur Circle.

During the
206 days, the spokesman added that the LESCO has recovered a total of Rs 2.89 billion outstanding dues from 100,694 dead defaulters. He elaborated that uptill now the company has collected Rs 427.09 million from 14,633 defaulters in Northern Circle; Rs 679.78 million from 13,073 defaulters in Eastern Circle; Rs 382.70 million from 11,290 defaulters in Central Circle; Rs 159.55 million from 5,920 defaulters in South Circle; Rs 233.45 million from 8,713 defaulters in Nankana Circle; Rs 424.93 million from 11,760 defaulters in Sheikhupura Circle; Rs 187.46 million from 16,089 defaulters in Okara Circle and Rs 398.29 million from 19,216 defaulters in Kasur Circle.
