Karachi: Director General of Livestock Sindh, Dr Hizbullah Bhutto, has said that serving animals alongside humanity is a noble profession, which has been highlighted by the Livestock Department of the Government of Sindh.
While addressing an event organized at the RC Animal Hospital Karachi on the occasion of World Animal Day, he stated that voiceless animals require human compassion, and it is essential to protect them from diseases and take care of their food and nutrition.
He said that this year, the department has vaccinated 40 million animals across the province to protect them from diseases, which will boost milk and meat production.
He thanked the hard work of the Provincial Minister, high-breed animals have been imported from abroad, which will greatly benefit the livestock farmers of our province.
He said that by increasing meat production, we can also earn valuable foreign exchange. On this occasion, Director of Animal Husbandry Dr Arshad Khanzada, Director General of Livestock Research and Vaccination Dr. Naeem Siddiqui, Executive Director of Animal Husbandry Dr Adil Yaqoob, DIO and Deputy Director of Livestock Animal Husbandry Karachi Dr Abdul Manan Khokhar, Dr Gordan Das, and Dr Chander Kumar shared their views during their speeches on World Animal Day and spoke about their professional experiences regarding animal welfare.
