Livestock practices can raise farmers’ income, says ADC Karak

Peshawar:Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Karak Sahibzada Samiullah has called on farmers to adopt modern livestock management practices to improve animal health, productivity and household incomes.



Addressing the closing ceremony of a seven-day livestock management training programme for farmers, he said improved breeds, balanced nutrition, preventive healthcare and modern farming techniques could significantly enhance livestock productivity.



The training was organised with the support of the Karak Area Development Programme under the supervision of the District Director Livestock.



Samiullah urged the participating farmers to apply the knowledge and practical skills acquired during the training to improve animal management and production.



He cited Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands as examples of countries that had made significant progress in livestock farming through modern practices.



He stressed timely vaccination, proper nutrition, cleanliness and adequate care of animals to maintain their health and increase production.



At the end of the ceremony, the ADC distributed certificates among the farmers who completed the training.
