Martyred police constable laid to rest with full official honours

Peshawar: The funeral prayer of Constable Shah Mast Khan, who was martyred in a terrorist firing incident within the jurisdiction of Chamkani Police Station, was offered with full official honours at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines, Peshawar.



Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Inspector General of Police, CCPO Peshawar, senior police and army officials, and the family members of the martyr attended the funeral.



Paying tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Constable Shah Mast Khan, officials said the unmatched sacrifices rendered by the personnel of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police will always be remembered.



They emphasised that the police force has never shied away from discharging its duty in the war against terrorism, and that this very spirit of courage and determination is the guarantee of restoring peace and order in the province.



Expressing condolences to the family of the martyr, the officials assured that the government would extend all possible care and support to the bereaved family. They said that peace prevails in the country due to the blood of the martyrs, and the nation will never forget the sacrifices of its brave soldiers.
