Martyrs, veterans pride of nation: Shafqat Shah


Sukkur: Provincial leader of Pakistan Muslim League Functional Sindh, Advocate Syed Shafqat Ali Shah on Tuesday paid rich tribute to the martyrs and veterans of Pakistan’s armed forces, calling them the pride of the entire nation.



In his statement, he said that those who laid down their lives in defense of the homeland deserve the utmost respect and recognition. Martyrs and ghazis who offer the ultimate sacrifice for the defense of the country are the pride of the whole nation, he stated.



He expressed disappointment over any attempt to undermine their contributions. It is unfortunate to consider the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans as trivial, Shah added.



Highlighting the role of the military, the PML-F leader noted that the Pakistan Armed Forces have rendered adding that unparalleled sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, safeguarding borders, and ensuring national security.



Shah stressed that honoring these sacrifices is a collective responsibility. Respecting the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces is the national and moral duty of every Pakistani, he added.



The remarks come amid ongoing national discourse on civil military relations and the recognition of security personnel who have lost their lives in service to the country.
