Hyderabad: Deputy Commissioner Matiari and Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee (ACC III), Muhammad Yousif Shaikh on Thursday said that corruption, maladministration, negligence and public complaints in government affairs would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He emphasized that every complaint would be investigated in a transparent, impartial and lawful manner, and strict legal action would be taken against those found responsible.
He expressed these views while presiding over the third meeting of the Anti-Corruption Committee (ACC III) held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Matiari, where a detailed review of pending complaints against various government departments was conducted.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed nine complaints against the roads department, two against the buildings division, two against the public health engineering department, one against the education works department, one against the local government department, one against the health department and two against the National Rural Support Program (NRSP).
After reviewing the nature of each complaint, the relevant records, and preliminary reports, the committee decided to initiate formal inquiries into all the cases to establish the facts and ensure that legal action is taken in accordance with the law.
Following the meeting, ACC III Chairman and Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Yousif Shaikh directed the concerned authorities to complete the inquiry process at the earliest with complete transparency, impartiality and in accordance with legal requirements. He further said that the process of accountability would continue without discrimination to safeguard public resources, promote transparent governance and protect the public interest.
