Maximum public convenience top priority: Commissioner

Faisalabad: Divisional Commissioner Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh said that provision of maximum possible facilities to citizens remains a key priority of the administration.

He was inaugurating a new ramp connecting Canal Road with the eastern service road in front of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI).

Speaking at a brief ceremony held on the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner said that the new ramp had been established to facilitate smooth movement of traffic and provide greater convenience to citizens and visitors using the busy road network around the chamber.

The Divisional Commissioner inspected the newly completed facility and expressed hope that it would contribute to smoother traffic flow and reduce inconvenience for commuters and visitors.

Earlier, FCCI President Farooq Yousaf Sheikh welcomed the Divisional Commissioner and thanked him for facilitating the project.

He said that traffic congestion frequently occurred on the service road because of the presence of schools on both sides of Faisalabad Chamber particularly during peak hours.

The new ramp would help improve traffic movement and provide a more convenient route for important personalities and visiting ambassadors reaching the chamber, he added.

He said that the ramp would enable vehicles travelling on Canal Road to directly access the eastern service road. It would also facilitate movement in the opposite direction, helping reduce pressure on congested stretches around the chamber, he added.
