Meeting held to assess fire incident at Women University

Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) held a meeting to assess the fire incident that occurred at the university, a day earlier and to further strengthen campus safety measures.



The meeting reviewed the causes of the incident, financial loss, existing fire safety arrangements, and preventive measures.



The Vice Chancellor expressed deep concern over the financial loss suffered by the students and the University as a result of the incident, and directed the concerned officials to designate separate parking areas for electric scooters, motorcycles, and other vehicles, prevent double parking, and ensure strict compliance with safety protocols.



She also directed the Chief Security Officer to arrange fire-safety and emergency-response training for security and relevant staff in coordination with Rescue 1122, the Fire Brigade and Civil Defense.



The Vice Chancellor appreciated the university employees who responded promptly and responsibly during the incident and thanked Rescue 1122, the Fire Brigade, Civil Defense, and other departments for their timely assistance.



Expressing gratitude that no one lost their life, she reiterated the University’s commitment to further strengthening safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
