Mirpurkhas:A meeting of the Divisional Enforcement Committee (DEC) for the anti-electricity theft campaign was held in Mirpurkhas district on Monday.
The Meeting was held in the Commissioner’s Conference Hall regarding the prevention of electricity theft and recovery of arrears under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Mirpurkhas Division and Chairman Divisional Enforcement Committee Faisal Ahmad Aqeeli.
According to the DC office, the meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner-1 Dr. Ali Nawaz Bhut, Additional Commissioner II Sonu Khan Chandio, Deputy Commissioner Mirpurkhas Dr. Rashid Masood Khan, Deputy Commissioner Tharparkar Abdul Halim Jagirani SSP Mirpurkhas Adil Memon, SSP Umarkot Abdul Khaliq, SSP Tharparkar and officials from HESCO.
DC ordered to form District Enforcement Committees in all districts to prevent electricity theft. Faisal Aqeeli directed the HESCO officers to conduct promotional campaigns for the awareness of the public to prevent electricity theft and directed that action must be taken against electricity theft.
Superintendent Engineer HESCO Mirpurkhas Region Manzoor Ali Magsi told the meeting that the operation was conducted in connection with the prevention of electricity theft and recovery of arrears from September 7 to September 9, in which a total of 54 FIR were registered in Mirpurkhas region.
