SIALKOT:Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar has said that mega projects of sewerage, water supply, solid waste management, traffic management and upgrading of parks in Sialkot city will provide upgraded and advanced municipal facilities to people.
He stated this while addressing the party workers’ convention, held at Jinnah House here on Sunday.
A large number of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and local leaders were also present.
Addressing the participants, the SAPM said that the mega projects were underway in Sialkot district with Rs.17 billion.
Dar said that 4-lakh people of Sialkot district would get clean drinking water through the mega project. He said that the traffic issues in Sialkot would also be resolved through project. The SAPM said that past rulers looted the national wealth ruthlessly.
Usman Dar said that the University of Applied Engineering and Emerging Technologies is going to be built.
He said that the new campus of Government College Women University (GCWU) Sialkot at Aimenabad Road is going to be built and the government was trying its level best to start classes at the end of the year.
Dar said that Sialkot is a sports city and was badly neglected by the past regime in the sports sector.
The SAPM said that the Punjab government had given billions of rupees for revamping the Sialkot Cricket Stadium. He said that the state-of-the-art high-performance center was going to be built in Jinnah Stadium Sialkot. Another high-performance center is going to be built at Sheikh Mola Talab, he added.
The SAPM added that the Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar had also given Rs. 1 billion for road infrastructures.
He said that the local bodies elections were going to be held in Gujranwala division by the end of May.
The SAPM said that the loyal workers were the precious assets to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
“We strive to give maximum chance to those party workers who gave sacrifices for the party and our loyal workers.” Dar said: “I promise you will get tickets in local bodies elections on behalf of your performance.”
