Peshawar: Provincial Minister for Health, Khaleeq ur Rehman, on Saturday chaired an important meeting with officials of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Foundation to review matters related to proposed outsourcing of hospitals across the province.
Secretary Health Fayaz Ali Shah and other concerned senior health officials were also present in the meeting. The minister was given a detailed presentation by the Chairman of the Health Foundation regarding the proposed outsourcing arrangements and the role of different consultants in the process.
The meeting discussed various aspects of outsourcing hospitals, including the bidding process, contractual arrangements, administrative mechanisms, performance requirements and monitoring of healthcare service delivery.
The minister directed the concerned officials to thoroughly examine all aspects of the bidding and contracting process to ensure transparency, accountability and effective utilization of public resources.
He emphasized that the objective of outsourcing is to improve the administration and management of hospitals where healthcare service delivery is not meeting the required standards, and to ensure that the people receive accessible, efficient and quality healthcare services.
