Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Fazal Shakoor Khan on Thursday conducted a detailed visit to various areas of district Charsadda to review the ongoing development projects and inspect progress on the schemes being implemented in the district.
During the visit, the Provincial Minister received a detailed briefing from the concerned officers and officials regarding various aspects of the projects, ongoing construction activities, pace of work and progress against the set targets.
He also inspected different components of the ongoing works and reviewed the quality of construction and overall progress of the projects.
He issued directives to the authorities to ensure that the quality of work on all development projects is maintained at every stage. He said that no compromise on the quality of development works would be tolerated.
He further directed that the quality of construction material and all stages of execution must strictly comply with the prescribed standards and departmental rules and regulations.
The Minister directed the officers to further accelerate work on the ongoing projects aimed at addressing drainage-related issues and ensure their completion within the stipulated timeframe so that the people of the area could receive relief at the earliest.
He said the KP government is taking practical steps to provide basic facilities to the people and resolve their problems.
“The primary objective of development projects is to provide maximum relief to the public, therefore, along with timely completion, sustainability and quality of all schemes must be ensured in every respect” he added.
He also directed the concerned officers to closely monitor the progress of development projects and submit timely reports regarding the status of ongoing works. He maintained that unnecessary delays in public welfare projects would not be tolerated.
Fazal Shakoor Khan emphasized that the KP government is committed to providing basic public facilities and resolving the problems faced by citizens. He directed the departments concerned and officials to perform their responsibilities with dedication and ensure effective implementation of development schemes for the benefit of the people.
