Murree: Rescue 1122 and Civil Defense teams conducted detailed inspections of fire safety infrastructure across public sector hospitals and facilities throughout the district on Thursday.
Accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Umar Owais Kayani, teams operating under the supervision of the District Emergency Officer evaluated public sector hospitals and facilities throughout the district, including Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Murree, Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Kotli Sattian and General Hospital Samli, said a press release.
The inspection teams assessed the availability, operational readiness, and functionality of fire water hydrant systems, fire alarms, fire extinguishers and auxiliary safety equipment to ensure instant response capacity during emergencies.
During the exercise, Rescue 1122 personnel verified that existing fire hydrants meet established safety and operational parameters. Officials issued instructions to hospital management regarding periodic maintenance, timely testing and functional readiness of all safety apparatus.
Officials emphasized that robust fire safety systems and functional hydrants remained essential to mitigating emergency situations effectively.
The joint inspection teams were continuing comprehensive fire safety audits and reviewed across public sector hospitals and facilities throughout the district, including Tehsil Headquarter Hospitals (THQs) and Basic Health Units (BHUs).
