Islamabad: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Friday urged the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to focus on addressing governance issues in the province instead of resorting to a long march.
Speaking to a private television channel, the minister said the PTI’s proposed protest march could disrupt peace and create a law and order situation. He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was facing a number of serious challenges, including terrorism, and urged the provincial government to concentrate on resolving the genuine problems faced by the people.
Responding to a question about the PTI’s planned protest march, he said there would be no compromise on the peace and security of the people.
He advised the PTI leadership to opt for dialogue to resolve political issues and avoid measures that could potentially create a law and order situation in the country.
