Mirpur Commissioner Mirpur Division Raja Tahir Mumtaz Khan here on Thursday chaired a meeting to review the renovation, upgradation of facilities and activation of the Officers Club Mirpur as a state of tgexart functional social and recreational centre.
The meeting reviewed the existing condition of the club, ongoing renovation works and proposed recreational facilities, with decisions taken to develop the facility into a well-organized centre offering sports, healthy recreation and social activities.
It was decided to provide facilities for indoor and outdoor sports, including table tennis, badminton, carrom and chess, besides football, volleyball and other games. The facilities would also be made available to the general public under prescribed rules and regulations.
The meeting also approved measures to activate the gymnasium and establish a caf©, improve seating arrangements and provide a suitable space for women along with facilities for sports and other activities of their interest.
A comprehensive renovation plan was also reviewed, covering painting of the building, repair and improvement of furniture, renovation of entrance and exit gates, furnishing of different sections and improvement of seating areas and other essential works.
The Commissioner assigned responsibilities to officials of relevant departments and directed that all works be completed on a priority basis while maintaining quality, functionality, durability and modern standards.
