Rawalpindi: The Murree District Administration on Monday launched a coordinated operation against unauthorised camera operators, beggars and street vendors on Mall Road.
The operation was carried out under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Murree, with teams from the Provincial Tourism Services (PTS), Pakistan Emergency Response Agency (PERA) and Civil Defence participating, aiming to maintain law and order in the busy tourist hub.
Inspector Usman supervised the operation on site, issuing strict legal warnings to individuals conducting unauthorised activities and instructing them to cease immediately. He emphasised that all future activities must comply fully with relevant laws and regulations.
He said Mall Road was a key tourist destination attracting large numbers of domestic and international visitors daily, and that any disorder or illegal activity would not be tolerated. He warned that violations in the future would be dealt with firmly under the law.
According to the administration, the initiative was intended to ensure public order, protect visitors, prevent illegal activities effectively, and maintain a safe, organised, and tourist-friendly environment on Mall Road.
The district authorities pledged to continue such measures to preserve Murree’s tourism character and ensure public convenience.
