Karachi: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Karachi, has retrieved 435 acres of precious government land worth Rs2. 61 billion in an inquiry against Sajid Haroon and Fawad Anwar, owners of M/s Dhabeji Salt Works (Pvt. ) Ltd. (DSW) and M/s Aqua Food (Pvt. ) Ltd. (DAFPL), Dhabeji, Thatta district, and others.
According to a NAB Karachi spokesman, the inquiry pertains to the alleged illegal extension of the lease of 435 acres of government land on the basis of fake documents.
Following intervention by NAB Karachi and correspondence with the concerned revenue authorities, the Secretary, Land Utilization Department, Government of Sindh, cancelled the illegal lease of the 435-acre land through an order issued on August 20, 2026.
Consequently, the land has been retrieved by the Government of Sindh and is now free from encumbrances.
NAB Karachi reiterated its commitment to safeguarding public assets and ensuring accountability in accordance with the law.
