Sargodha: Deputy Director National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) Sargodha Meher Umar Daraz Jhawari, District Officer Child Protection and Welfare Bureau Sargodha and Syed Ali Abid Naqvi met University of Sargodha Vice Chancellor Dr Tasawer Hayat and congratulated him on assuming office.
During the meeting, Meher Umar Daraz Jhawari expressed good wishes for the vice chancellor and hoped that his leadership would contribute to further development in research and administration and provide better opportunities for quality education and research to students.
The participants also discussed the ‘Each One Teach One’ programme aimed at promoting education and youth development. Jhawari said 1,342 children had so far received basic education under the initiative, with the University of Sargodha and NCHD playing an important role.
He said the programme was an important step towards creating educational awareness and bringing children deprived of basic education into the education system. He also stressed the need to strengthen cooperation among educational institutions, government departments and social organizations.
Later, Jhawari met Women’s Chamber of Commerce Sargodha President Rubina Mukhtar and congratulated her on assuming the office. He expressed hope that the chamber would play a more effective role in addressing the issues of women entrepreneurs, promoting women in business and creating greater business opportunities in Sargodha.
Syed Ali Abid Naqvi also congratulated Dr Tasawer Hayat and Rubina Mukhtar and expressed his best wishes for their success.
