FAISALABAD:The Food Department Punjab has said that there is no report of increase in price of wheat flour in any part of the Faisalabad division.
Clarifying a news items published in various dailies about increase in prices of wheat flour in the division, a spokesperson said here Friday that 10kg flour bag in district Faisalabad is being sold at Rs 820 per bag in the markets, while it is available in district Chiniot and district Toba Tek Singh at Rs 800 per bag. The wheat price in both districts is Rs 2850 per mound available in abundant quantities.
The 10kg bag in district Jhang is available in the open market at Rs 780 per bag and the price of per mound wheat is Rs 2800.
The spokesperson said that despite the strike of flour mills, no increase in wheat flour price was reported from any area of the division.
He said that prices of wheat flour are being monitored with Geo-tagging on a daily basis in the division.
