Quetta: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti on Tuesday announced that a world-class calligraphy exhibition titled ‘Bayan Al-Marsoos’ would be organized in Quetta in May next year, and that the Balochistan government could sponsor the global event.
He said that renowned calligraphers and artists from the Islamic world, Turkiye and other countries would participate in the exhibition.
He expressed these views while addressing the inauguration of the ‘Rasool-e-Rahmat (PBUH)’ calligraphy exhibition here.
The Chief Minister said that organizing such an event on August 14 and during the month of August sends a message to the whole of Pakistan that Balochistan has the capacity and determination to organize such world-class programs.
He said that he has requested calligrapher Wasal Shahid to arrange a major world-class calligraphy exhibition in May next year, for which the Balochistan government would fully cooperate and Serena Hotels could be selected to host it because Serena has taken the first
step in this regard.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that renowned artists from the Islamic world, Turkiye and other countries would be invited to the world calligraphy exhibition so that the message could be given from Quetta to the whole world that the people of Quetta are lovers of fine arts and peace-loving and they have a deep commitment to Islamic calligraphy in particular.
He directed the concerned authorities to start arrangements for organizing the world calligraphy exhibition and to make it a major two or three day global event so that artists from all over the world could come to Quetta and showcase their art.
The Chief Minister said that the theme of the exhibition to be held in May next year would be ‘Bayan Al-Marsoos’ and it could be held on May 9 and 10, as these are the days when Pakistan achieved a major victory.
He said that various events were also organized in Balochistan last year, and that calligraphy would be included in this year’s ‘Bayan Al-Marsoos’ events as well.

n’s respect and dignity is increasing at the global level and in recent days, the defense cooperation between the Islamic world, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan also reflects this changing situation.
He clarified that this cooperation is not for any aggression but for self-defense, saying that a limited section trying to achieve its goals through violence in Balochistan is pushing the Baloch people into a futile war, the loss of which would be not to anyone else but to the Baloch people themselves.
He said that the destruction of bridges and infrastructure would only affect the Baloch people, while stopping trade and damaging the trucks of traders also affects the livelihood of the common people.
He said that no power in the world could stop Pakistan’s journey to victory and the spirit and unity that the nation has shown is worthy of pride.

at the positive effects of Pakistan’s improved global standing were also being felt significantly by Pakistanis living abroad.
The Chief Minister prayed that Allah Almighty may grant Pakistan more respect and dignity in the international community and keep the country on the path of development and prosperity.
