Over 3.2m cotton bales arrival recorded at ginneries till Sept 30 in Pakistan

Multan: Seed Cotton (Phutti) equivalent to over 3.2 million (32,08,402) bales have reached ginning factories across Pakistan till September 30, 2026 registering increase of 5.39 percent as compared to corresponding period of last year.



According to a fortnightly report of Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) issued to the media on Saturday, over 2.9 million (29,31,408) bales have undergone the ginning process i.e converted into bales



Cotton arrivals in Punjab were recorded 12,14,951 bales registering an increase of 6.91 percent as compared to the corresponding period of last year when arrivals were recorded 11,36,439 bales.



Sindh generated 19,93,451 bales registering an increase of 4.48 percent as compared to corresponding period of last year when arrivals were recorded 29,31,460 bales.



Arrivals in Baluchistan were recorded at 1,52,763 bales.



Exporters/traders bought 96,600 cotton bales while textile sector bought total 27,26,868 bales. Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) didn’t procure cotton in 20226-27,says the report. As many as 3,84,934 unsold bales stock was present.



Total 459 ginning factories were operational in the country.
