Rawalpindi: The District Health Authority Rawalpindi has reported 38 confirmed dengue cases so far this year, with no fatalities recorded in the district.
According to the latest surveillance figures, 12 patients are currently admitted to hospitals, including eight confirmed cases.
Following 27 cases reported in September, five new patients emerged during the first three days of October.
High larva detection areas include Ratta Amral, Dhoke Naju, Dhoke Babu Irfan and Hazara Colony.
To combat the challenge,1,400 outdoor and indoor surveillance teams checked millions of homes and hotspots, detecting and destroying over 205,000 larvae. To enforce safety SOPs, authorities registered 2,798 FIRs, sealed 686 properties, issued 2,331 challans, and imposed fines exceeding Rs.3.15 million.
