RAWALPINDI:On the special direction of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, Rawalpindi Police conducted a flag march throughout the city to ensure law and order during Muharram ul Harram.
The march was led by SSP Operations Flight Lieutenant (retd) Hafiz Kamran Asghar, SP Security Raja Nasir senior officers, including those from the District Police, Elite Force, Traffic Police, Dolphin Squad, and other law enforcement agencies.
The march was started from the Police Lines Headquarters, after completing various routes in the city and concluded at starting point.
SSP Operations Flight Lieutenant (retd) Hafiz Kamran Asghar emphasized that all necessary security measures are being implemented to ensure the safety of all gatherings and processions during Muharram.
CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani assured that the police will enforce the code of conduct and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued for Muharram, including special monitoring of social media to prevent the spread of communal hatred.

egal action will be taken against those who tries to incite violence or take the law into hands,” said Hamdani. “We expect the peaceful citizens of Rawalpindi to fully cooperate with the police and administration to maintain peace and order.” he concluded.
