Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday expressed deep concern over the incidents of terrorism in Dera Ismail Khan, and profound grief over the martyrdom of a traffic police official and customs officials in firing incidents in the city.
President Zardari, in a statement, said that the people of Pakistan and the security institutions stood like an iron shield against terrorism being perpetrated with external patronage and with the support of local facilitators.
He said that the people of Pakistan would take this struggle to its logical conclusion.
President Zardari expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families of the martyred officials and also prayed for the swift recovery of the official injured in the incident.
