Lahore: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari has said that the Punjab government is introducing modern, digital and technology-driven reforms across all provincial departments to ensure fast, transparent and effective public service delivery.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, she said that in line with the demands of the modern era, the governance system in Punjab is being restructured on contemporary lines. She added that revolutionary measures are being implemented in key sectors including education, health, agriculture and infrastructure through the use of advanced technology, digital systems and smart solutions.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, she said, the Punjab government is prioritizing technology to align public services with international standards.
Highlighting reforms in agriculture, Azma Bokhari said that while agriculture has always been considered the backbone of the national economy, for the first time real innovation has been introduced in the sector under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. She said the introduction of modern machinery, digital data integration and farmer-friendly reforms is ensuring tangible benefits directly reach farmers.
She further stated that Punjab has now taken a clear lead over other provinces in the fields of education, health and transport, which reflects Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s effective governance and strong administrative capabilities. She described the chief minister as a successful administrator who believes in vision, implementation and results.
The provincial minister added that good governance, merit, transparency and digitalization in Punjab have emerged as a role model, prompting other provinces to take keen interest in learning from Punjab’s development model.
Advising political opponents, Azma Bokhari said they should compete with Punjab in terms of development and prosperity instead of engaging in political gimmicks and negative politics, adding that chaos and negativity have no link with public welfare or progress.
