Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to appoint monitoring and governance professionals in government teaching hospitals across the province as part of a major initiative to improve hospital performance and ensure uninterrupted delivery of quality healthcare services.
According to a spokesperson for the Health Department, applications have been invited for the recruitment of Hospital Monitoring Officer/Hospital Governance Executive, Procurement Specialist/Officer and Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant on a three-year lump-sum contract, extendable for another term.
The spokesperson said the recruitment aims to strengthen governance, procurement and monitoring systems in government teaching hospitals by hiring highly qualified, competent and experienced professionals.
The appointments will be made in major teaching hospitals, including Bahawal Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur, Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital Dera Ghazi Khan, Allied Hospital Faisalabad, Gujranwala Teaching Hospital, Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital Gujrat, Lahore General Hospital, Jinnah Hospital Lahore, Mayo Hospital Lahore, Services Hospital Lahore, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Lahore, Nishtar Hospital Multan, Sheikh Zayed Hospital Rahim Yar Khan, Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi, Benazir Bhutto Hospital Rawalpindi, Sahiwal Teaching Hospital, Dr. Faisal Masood Teaching Hospital Sargodha and Allama Iqbal Memorial Hospital Sialkot.
For the post of Hospital Monitoring Officer/Hospital Governance Executive, candidates must possess a master’s degree in Hospital Management, Health Services Management, Business Management or Public Administration from an HEC-recognised institution. Medical graduates with additional qualifications in the relevant management disciplines are also eligible, although they will not be allowed to undertake private practice during the contract period.
Applicants for the post of Procurement Specialist/Officer must hold a master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce or Finance, or possess ACCA or CA qualifications from an HEC-recognised institution, along with at least five years of relevant professional experience.
For the post of Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Public Health, Statistics, Health Management or Information Technology from an HEC-recognised institution, in addition to at least two years of relevant experience.
The spokesperson said application forms and detailed eligibility criteria are available on the Health Department’s website. Appointments will be made on a lump-sum contract with market-based salary packages, while only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews.
Government employees will be required to apply through the proper channel. The department has reserved the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies or cancel the recruitment process at any stage, while final appointments will remain subject to verification of educational qualifications and experience certificates.
