Islamabad:Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to shun violence and long march politics and engage in dialogue with the government.
Speaking to a local news channel, he said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had offered talks to the PTI, adding that there was no restriction on the agenda it wanted to bring to the table.
Responding to a question, he said the PTI long march would not be allowed to enter Islamabad under any circumstances.
Sanaullah said the country was facing terrorism and external aggression, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, requiring cooperation from all political parties and provincial governments.
Referring to the martyrdom of Customs officials in Dera Ismail Khan, he said the absence of the provincial government, including the chief minister and ministers, during the long march was a matter of concern.
