RAWALPINDI:The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Sunday conducted an operation and sealed an illegal commercial building on Kallar Syedan Road.
According to a RDA spokesman, the enforcement team on the directives of the Director General (DG), Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa carried out an operation against illegal under-construction commercial building on Kallar Syedan road near PSO petrol pump in Moza Panjgran.
He said that the Enforcement Squad including Deputy Director Building Control, incharge/Assistant Director Building Control and Building Inspectors took part in the operation and sealed the building. The spokesman further informed that earlier, notices were also issued to the owners of this property namely Munir and Jumma Khan who were constructing illegal commercial building without approval and No Objection Certificate.
He said that the DG had directed the Land Use and Building Control (LU&BC) Wing to take strict action against encroachments, illegal and unauthorized constructions and commercial activities without any discrimination.
The DG had also directed the authorities concerned to conduct a survey to identify illegal residential and commercial buildings, so that action in accordance with the law could be taken against the rules’ violators. He advised the citizens to remove encroachments on their own to avoid legal action.
