Chiniot: Renowned journalist Haji Arif Mahmood Chauhan, who served as Information Secretary for the District Social Media Team of the District Press Club (Registered) Chiniot (Chaudhry Shahid Mahmood Group), has passed away.
The deceased was the son of late Haji Muhammad Bashir Chauhan (Mohallah Gairiyan, Chiniot), nephew of late Master Dost Muhammad Chauhan and Dr. Ghulam Yaseen Chauhan, and brother-in-law of Younis Burhani, Qari Muhammad Afzal Burhani and Qari Naseer Ahmed Burhani.
His funeral prayers were offered at 5: 00 PM (following Asr prayers) in the Shahi Masjid garden, attended by members of the journalistic community, relatives and local residents.
The journalistic community and local residents expressed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that Allah Almighty may grant the deceased complete forgiveness, bestow upon him a high place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and grant the family strength to bear the loss with patience.
