PESHAWAR:Emergency service Rescue 1122 responded to over 3,860 different incidents, providing timely services in metropolis during month of September.
The operations, under the leadership of District Emergency Officer Engineer Naveed Akhtar, are ongoing, and the organization ensured prompt and excellent facilities for a wide range of incidents.
Rescue 1122 Peshawar extended medical assistance to 3573 patients and injured individuals out of the total incidents. These included 372 traffic accidents, 44 fire incidents, 3166 medical emergencies, 73 various crimes, 30 rescue operations, and 2 incidents involving building collapses and drownings.
Rescue 1122 facilitated the transfer of 169 patients from one hospital to another.
The personnel of Rescue 1122 provided initial medical aid to approximately 3573 injured and sick individuals and transported them to nearby hospitals when necessary. Unfortunately, 30 individuals lost their lives during these incidents.
Remarkably, despite heavy traffic congestion, Rescue 1122 managed to provide assistance to the public within an average response time of 6.9 minutes.
District Emergency Officer Peshawar, Engineer Naveed Akhtar, highlighted that on a daily basis, the organization is committed to educating the citizens about basic life-saving skills, fire safety, and dengue prevention. This educational outreach covers schools, colleges, universities, government and private institutions, police, hotels, markets, and various other establishments.
