Lahore: Rescue 1122 divers on Monday recovered the body of an unidentified man from the Lahore Canal near Lal Pul on Canal Road and handed it over to the police for legal formalities.
According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson, the emergency service received information about a body in the canal, following which a rescue team, including trained divers, rushed to the spot and launched a retrieval operation.
The rescuers successfully recovered the body from the canal. Rescue officials said the deceased appeared to be an unidentified man of approximately 35 years of age. After completing the rescue operation, the body was handed over to the police for identification, investigation and further legal proceedings.
Police have initiated efforts to ascertain the identity of the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
