Lahore: In an encounter between police and alleged robbers in Sattu Katla area, a robber was arrested while his accomplice managed to escape.
According to the police, the Sattu Katla police signaled two motorcycle riders to stop at the checkpoint, but instead of stopping, the suspects allegedly opened fire at the police personnel and tried to escape. The police chased the suspects, during which one of the suspects was injured by his own accomplice.
The injured suspect was identified as Muhammad Hassan Sohail, who has been shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
According to the police, the suspect has a previous record in other serious cases including robbery.
The second suspect fled the scene, and a search operation is underway in the area to arrest him. According to SP President Abdullah Imran Cheema, legal action has been initiated against the injured suspect.
