Multan: Pakistan Railways’ Multan Division recovered a record Rs39.2 million from 33,056 ticketless and irregular passengers during June 2026, marking the highest monthly recovery by the Special Ticket Examiners (STEs) in the division’s history.

According to official statement, the STEs recovered Rs36,381,795 in fares and Rs2,818,380 in penalties, taking the total recovery to Rs39,200,175 during the month.

Railway officials attributed the achievement to the dedicated efforts of DCO Multan, DCO Group In-charge Rana Muhammad Javed and all Special Ticket Examiners.

Pakistan Railways urged passengers to buy valid tickets before travelling and retain them throughout the journey, warning that ticketless or irregular travel violates railway rules and attracts fare recovery along with the prescribed penalty.
