Peshawar::Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Home and Tribal Affairs Tariq Saeed Marwat has paid rich tribute to martyred police officer Muhammad Afaq and expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to his bereaved family after attending his funeral prayer at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines.
Tariq Saeed Marwat said that Police Constable Muhammad Afaq made the ultimate sacrifice and, through his courage and devotion to duty, saved the lives of hundreds of citizens in Peshawar. He said the great sacrifice of the martyred officer would not go in vain.
He said the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stands shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army and all law-enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism. The fight against terrorism is not the responsibility of any single individual or institution; it is a collective struggle of the entire nation.
The Special Assistant said no one should remain under the misconception that the fight against terrorism is the battle of any particular person or institution. The provincial government stands with all law-enforcement agencies with complete resolve, unity and solidarity.
He said the bullets of terrorists would eventually run out, but the courage and determination of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would never diminish.
The sacrifices of brave police personnel and security forces further strengthen the province’s resolve to confront and defeat terrorism.
Tariq Saeed Marwat reaffirmed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would continue to extend all possible support to the police and other law-enforcement agencies and utilize all available resources to eliminate terrorism and ensure lasting peace.
Expressing complete solidarity with the bereaved family of Muhammad Afaq, the Special Assistant said that the nation would always remember and honour the sacrifices of its brave martyrs.
