SBA Range Police register 3,037 cases, arrest 3,854 suspects in three months

Hyderabad: Shaheed Benazirabad (SBA) Range Police have released their three-month performance report for July to September 2026 under the supervision of DIGP SBA Range Faisal Bashir Memon (PSP).



According to spokesperson, police registered a total of 3,037 cases during the three-month period, including 965 cases in July, 1,029 in August and 1,043 in September. A total of 7,601 wanted/nominated persons were identified, while 3,854 suspects were arrested, including 1,367 in July, 1,243 in August and 1,244 in September.



The report stated that 95 police encounters took place across the range during the period. One criminal was killed in an encounter in August, while 103 suspects were arrested and 51 suspects were injured. The arrested suspects included 37 in July, 31 in August and 35 in September.



Police also arrested 151 proclaimed offenders and 620 absconders during the three months. The number of proclaimed offenders arrested was 78 in July, 33 in August and 40 in September, while 210 absconders were arrested in July, 140 in August and 270 in September.



In operations against illegal arms, police registered 233 cases and arrested 233 suspects. The recovered weapons included 228 pistols, 18 shotguns, seven revolvers, three rifles and one carbine. Police also recovered 446 bullets/rounds and 71 cartridges during the period.



In anti-narcotics operations, 508 cases were registered and 691 suspects were arrested. Police recovered 409.939 kilograms of charas, 402.530 kilograms of cannabis, 7.010 kilograms of ice and 0.058 kilograms of heroin. The recovery also included 5,608 units of local liquor, 977 pints, 96 mawa and 287 bottles.



In operations against gutka and mainpuri, police registered 543 cases and arrested 676 suspects. A total of 6,255.629 kilograms of gutka, mainpuri and mawa was recovered, including 2,998.15 kilograms in July, 1,716.203 kilograms in August and 1,541.276 kilograms in September. The total value of the recovered material was Rs5,290,500.



Police also recovered 69 two-wheelers and four four-wheel vehicles during the three-month period.
