Gilgit:Secretary, Department of Higher, Technical and Special Education (HT and SE) GB, Farid Ahmed on Thursday paid a surprise visit to the Govt Boys Degree College, Minawar, Gilgit along with the Director, Directorate of Higher Education (Colleges) GB, Muhammad Alam.
The visit aimed to interact with the principal, faculty members and staff, and to look at the academic, administrative, managerial and development status, progress and bottlenecks to elevate the overall operations, quality education and progress.
The secretary visited the classrooms, labs, library, under-contraction building and faulty parts of the building and inspected and evaluated the same thoroughly.
He directed concerned officers and principals to bring necessary improvements and enhance the standards.
He assured them that he would play his role in fixing and addressing the issues as much as possible in the best interests of the students and the institution at large.
