Secretary reviews Rakhni Town uplift and Bazaar remodeling project


Quetta: Balochistan Secretary Communications and Works, Babar Khan in a high-level meeting reviewed the Uplifting of Rakhni Town and Remodeling of Rakhni Bazaar Project. Deputy Commissioner Barkhan joined the meeting via Zoom, while Chief Engineer Loralai-Zhob Zone Qazi Noor-ul-Haq, SE Barkhan and Musakhel Abdul Razzaq Mandokhail, Executive Engineer Barkhan Engineer Fazal Kareem, relevant consultants, and other officials were also present.



Officials briefed the meeting on construction activities, challenges faced, and the future course of action. It was noted that work is progressing to ensure timely completion, with no compromise on quality standards.



Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Babar Khan highlighted that following the establishment of the Koh-e-Suleman Division, Rakhni has gained special importance as the divisional headquarters.



He stressed that improvement of basic facilities, roads, drainage, bazaars, and urban infrastructure is essential. He directed authorities to accelerate the pace of work while maintaining quality, adding that wherever opportunities exist, work should be expedited.



He emphasized teamwork to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe. The Secretary also instructed the Deputy Commissioner Barkhan to form a joint committee to thoroughly examine every aspect of the project and eliminate shortcomings.



Babar Khan reiterated that the provincial government’s top priority is to modernize Rakhni city with wide roads, effective street lighting, quality bypasses, and organized spaces for shops and vendors in the central bazaar.



He pledged that ongoing development projects in Rakhni will be completed on time to provide relief to the people, fulfilling the vision of prosperity and development in underprivileged areas.
