Larkana: A football tournament was organized at the Government Degree College Ground, Shahdadkot District Kamber-Shahdadkot on Monday, as part of the celebrations of Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day.
An exciting match was played between Shahdadkot White and Shahdadkot Green teams.
Shahdadkot White Club delivered an impressive performance and defeated Shahdadkot Green Club by 4-2 goals to secure victory.
On the occasion, Asghar Brohi, General Secretary, District Football Association Qambar Shahdadkot; Feroz Din Ahmed, General Secretary, Al-Shahbaz Club and Zakir Sami, General Secretary, Shah Bhittai Club Garhi Khairo, Jacobabad, attended the event.
Addressing the gathering, the guests said that organizing such sports competitions on the occasion of Independence Day was highly important for promoting patriotism, discipline, and the spirit of healthy competition among young people.
They said that competitions in football and other sports not only encourage youth to participate in positive activities but also provide them with opportunities to showcase their talent and move forward.
The guests congratulated the players of Shahdadkot White Club on their impressive victory and appreciated the excellent performance and sporting spirit demonstrated by the Shahdadkot Green players. They expressed hope that such sports competitions would continue in the future, providing the youth of the area with a better sporting environment, improved facilities, and more opportunities to showcase their abilities.
At the conclusion of the event, trophies and prizes were also distributed among the players of the winning and runner-up teams
