Abbottabad: Abbottabad police have arrested a suspected drug peddler and a robbery suspect in separate operations and recovered 2,500 grams of heroin and stolen goods worth Rs. 27,000. On the directives of DPO Abbottabad Haroon Rashid Khan, SHO Nawan Shehr Police Station Cadet Qamar Shehzad arrested suspected drug peddler Fayyaz, son of Dost Muhammad, resident of Mera Mandrowach, during a patrol. Police recovered 2,500 grams of high-quality heroin from his possession and registered a case against him.
In another operation, City Police arrested Muzammil Islam, son of Kala Khan, resident of Budla, for allegedly breaking into a grocery store at Kamhar Bandi during the night. Police recovered cash and grocery items worth approximately Rs. 27,000 from his possession. Cases have been registered against both suspects, and further investigation is underway. Police said the crackdown against drug dealers and other criminal elements would continue across the district.
