Lahore: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari, reacting to a statement by PTI’s Muzammil Aslam, said the level of understanding of what she described as the ‘fake Aristotle’ of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could be gauged from his apparent lack of awareness that provinces have their own roads apart from those maintained by the National Highway Authority (NHA).
In a statement issued on Friday, she said that since such roads apparently did not exist in his province, ‘the poor man’ might not know about them. She added that the amusing part was that the ‘fake Aristotle’ was always eager to display his knowledge, but there was hardly an occasion when he appeared embarrassed.
The provincial minister said Punjab has 80,000 kilometres of its own provincial roads, of which, she claimed, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif had already constructed 50,000 kilometres.
Azma Bokhari further said that people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa still hang onto ‘dolis’, yet the ‘fake Aristotle’ felt no
shame.
