Havelian: Technical education has become an essential requirement in the modern era, while young people should focus on vocational courses such as safety engineering to secure better and dignified employment opportunities, speakers said.
They were addressing a certificate distribution ceremony organized by Wish and Deal here on Sunday. The speakers included Professor Dr Azmat Ali, former Tehsil Nazim Ishaq Zakaria Advocate and Chief Safety Instructor Syed Ramzan Shah.
The speakers said that traditional academic education alone was no longer sufficient for young people, stressing the need to acquire modern technical and vocational skills.
They said the demand for diploma holders and individuals with practical technical expertise was increasing globally, creating better employment opportunities for skilled youth both in Pakistan and abroad.
The speakers noted that the demand for trained safety professionals was growing in industries, construction projects and other sectors. They urged young people to acquire technical skills according to their interests and abilities.
They added that technical education could provide youth with opportunities for self-employment while also contributing to the national economy.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates were distributed among students who had successfully completed their courses.
