Attock: Police in Attock arrested three suspects in separate operations against narcotics and illegal liquor, recovering more than 2.7 kilograms of hashish and 10 litres of liquor, officials said on Saturday.
According to police, Assistant Sub-Inspector Sohail Aslam of Saddar Attock Police Station arrested Usman Khalil during a checking operation and recovered 1,320 grams of hashish from his possession. In a separate raid, Assistant Sub-Inspector Habib-ur-Rehman of Pindigheb Police Station apprehended Islam Gul and seized 1,382 grams of hashish.
In another operation, Sub-Inspector Abdul Ghafoor of New Airport Police Station arrested Mubashir Elahi after allegedly recovering 10 litres of liquor from his possession in the Fateh Jang area of Attock district.
Police registered separate cases against the three suspects under relevant laws and launched further investigations. A police spokesperson said the operations were part of the department’s ongoing campaign against narcotics and illegal liquor in the district.
