Muzaffargarh: The Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Chowk Sarwar Shaheed underwent a detailed fire safety audit by the Civil Defence Department on Friday to ensure the safety of patients and staff and prevent the recurrence of incidents like the one that claimed the lives of newborns at a hospital in the federal capital a few days ago.
Civil defence officer Kot Addu, Naveed Ahmad Mirani, led the fire safety audit at THQ hospital where he checked the existing firefighting and fire safety equipment, their condition, and arrangements. The officials also checked the emergency exits, fire alarm system, and other relevant measures.
The civil defence officer issued necessary instructions to hospital administration on what safety measures they must adopt and how prompt and accurately they should set into motion a strategy to deal with fire emergency to save precious lives and protect public property.
