Muzaffargarh: Two girls went missing after leaving their homes in Kot Addu on the pretext of applying for jobs in the Muzaffargarh Police, prompting authorities to launch a search and register a kidnapping case,here on Sunday.
According to the FIR,Mahnoor Bibi and Javeria Bibi,r/of Mauza Chaudhry left their homes on July 1 after informing their families they were traveling to Muzaffargarh to submit applications for police jobs.
The families said the girls had not returned home and all attempts to contact them had failed as both their mobile phones remained switched off.
An FIR was registered at the City Kot Addu police station under Section 365-B of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of Muhammad Naseem Khan,the father of Javeria Bibi and a r/o Lalazar Colony.
The complainant expressed suspicion that the two girls had been abducted by unidentified persons.
Police said they were investigating the case from multiple angles and had launched efforts to trace the missing girls.
Meanwhile,a spokesperson for the Muzaffargarh Police clarified that no recruitment drive was currently underway in the department and that no hiring process was in progress.
