Khanewal: A woman was killed after unidentified armed men opened fire at a house in Kabirwala, Khanewal district, on Sunday.
According to Rescue 1122, emergency teams reached the scene immediately after receiving information about the firing incident. As a result of the shooting, a woman died on the spot. The deceased was identified as 35-year-old Saima, wife of Ijaz.
Rescue officials shifted the body to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, Kabirwala, for medico-legal formalities.
Police have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to trace the assailants, while further legal proceedings are underway.
