MULTAN: An unbeaten century by Zain Abbas and a whirlwind 91 by international batter Sohaib Maqsood guided Crescent Cricket Club Multan to victory against Tareen Titans Lodhran claiming Multan division champiosnhip at MCC ground here Wednesday.
By batting first, Tareen Titans put up a total of 272 runs, thanks to an 80-run knock by Zeeshan Khan and 48 by Humayun Altaf.
Organized by southern Punjab cricket association under supervision of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the inter-district Nawab Ashiq Hussain Qureshi championship final match brought some good ceicket featuring century (109) off 67 balls by Crescent’s Zain Abbas with thirteen boundaries and five sixes and a 42-ball 91 runs cameo by Sohaib Maqsood that helped Crescent surpass the 272 run target with eight (8) in spare. Shoaib and Saif ur Rehman’s unbeaten and speedy 47 and 28 respectively sealed the victory for Crescent club.
Samiullah Khan from Crescent club claimed three wickets while Muhammad Zahid and Arafat Ahmad claimed two wickets each. Sohaib Maqsood took one wicket. Titans blowlers Mehboob and Zeeshan claimed one wicket each.
