Quetta: Balochistan’s Home and Tribal Affairs Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau chaired a high-level meeting to review security arrangements for 12 Rabi-ul-Awal across the province.
The meeting was attended by DIG Quetta Imran Shoukat and senior officials of the Home Department, while DIGs and Commissioners from other districts joined via video link.
The session comprehensively examined security measures for processions, gatherings, and key venues during the religious occasion.
Officials briefed the meeting on the security plan, including deployment strategies along procession routes, at congregations, and sensitive locations.
Zia Langau emphasized that maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of citizens is the government’s foremost responsibility.
He directed the district administrations and police to ensure effective coordination and strict implementation of the security plan, warning that no negligence in arrangements would be tolerated.
The Home Minister reiterated that the government is committed to safeguarding public peace and security during 12 Rabi-ul-Awal, and all necessary resources will be mobilized to ensure smooth observance of the occasion across Balochistan.
