Girls’ school damaged in IED blast in Tank

PESHAWAR: An under construction girls’ middle school in Tank district was partially damaged when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by unknown miscreants went off on Wednesday. Local police said the IED was planted near the walls of the under construction school which exploded with a big bang and damaged the walls and a room of the school. Soon after receiving information, Tank police cordoned off the area and started a search operation to nab the perpetrators involved. District Police Officer Tank said five to seven kilo gram explosive was used in the IED blast.
