Lahore: Rescue services provided emergency response in 1, 222 road traffic accidents across Punjab during the last 24 hours, resulting in 13 deaths and 1, 424 injuries, Rescue spokesperson Farooq Ahmad said on Thursday.
According to the Rescue spokesperson, 593 seriously injured people were provided first aid and shifted to hospitals for further treatment. Among the 1, 424 injured, 1, 140 were men and 284 were women.
The highest number of road traffic accidents was reported in Lahore with 234 cases, followed by Multan with 89 and Faisalabad with 85 accidents.
The spokesperson said that 1, 307 motorcycles, 95 rickshaws and 119 cars were involved in the reported accidents.
In Lahore, Rescue teams responded to 234 road traffic accidents during the last 24 hours, providing emergency medical assistance to the injured. Of the 293 people injured in these incidents, 107 seriously injured persons were shifted to hospitals for further treatment, while 186 with minor injuries were provided first aid at the accident sites, Rescue spokesperson Farooq Ahmad said.
